I've been in a list-making mood lately so prepare to be bombarded in the next few weeks. Today, with the hopes of warmer weather, and no rain in the near future, I give you my summer 2013 bucket list (in no particular order).
1. Go to the drive-in. This is a standard summer activity, but I don't want to get so busy we don't make it.
2. Host a garage sale. Weather permitting this is happening tomorrow!
3. Run a half marathon. After successfully completing the Mississippi 10-miler, I registered for the Gopher-Badger Half on August 10th.
4. Go on a picnic/ date at the stone arch bridge.
5. Go to a bag-sale or two.
6. Tailgate at a Saints game. Might be tricky justifying not working it on a non- Twins night. But it's been years since I have been able to sit and enjoy a baseball game in the Twin Cities.
7. Play beach volleyball, anywhere.
8. Make homemade popsicles, something fancy, along the lines of this.
9. Go to the Farmers Market (I might make a habit of it if they allowed dogs).
10. Pick strawberries/ blueberries/ apples.
11. Make a rhubarb cocktail, something similar to this.
12. Complete a new 30x30 challenge.
13. Make an ice cream sandwich from scratch.
14. Try grilling fruit.
15. Plant a rhubarb plant on the premises.
Some of these things are fairly ambitious for our jam-packed-with-roadtrips-and-twins-games summer, but I am always motivated by a good list, so let's see how many of these things I can cross off by Labor Day!
